Corrections Policy
Accuracy matters more than speed. When we make a mistake, we fix it and tell you.
How to report an error
Use our contact form and choose “Correction.” Tell us which story, what’s wrong, and, if you can, a source showing the right information. The editor reviews every report.
How we fix mistakes
- Factual errors (a wrong number, name, date or claim) are corrected in the story, and a note at the bottom explains what changed and when.
- Small fixes such as typos or broken links are corrected without a note.
- If a story’s central claim turns out to be wrong, we update it with a clear editor’s note, or remove it and explain why.
We don’t quietly change stories to hide mistakes. Updated stories show an “Updated” time next to the original publish date.
