Where AI helps

We use AI tools behind the scenes to help with research, fact-gathering and first drafts, and to make many of our illustrations. They help a small team cover good news from around the world every day.

Where a human decides

• The editor reads every story in full and checks key facts against the sources.
• The editor edits, cuts and adds as needed. Published stories carry the editor’s name.
• The editor decides whether a story runs at all.
• Nothing on Hooray News is published automatically.

What we never do

• Make up quotes, people, numbers or events.
• Present an AI illustration as a photo, or create images of real people.
• Publish a story without citing real sources.
